MMP understanding post-election monitor 2008

Since 1995 the Electoral Commission has surveyed voters on their understanding of basic aspects of MMP. Surveys are conducted in the months before and after each election and at the mid point between elections. This briefing provides the overtime results for three basic questions.  Read more »

MMP understanding pre-election monitor 2008

The 2008 pre-election monitor found correct understanding of the role of the party vote at its highest pre-election level since the first MMP election in 1996. Confidence in election management and vote counting has improved significantly since when first measured in 2007. Other notable findings are reported for sub-populations.  Read more »
